So what the heck is hack day?

Hack Day is fantastic opportunity where you get to work on something:

valuable to the company

but not what you’re “supposed” to be working on

that can be taken from idea to tangible ‘thing’ in one day

(by tangible ‘thing’ I mean something you can present / show / demo)

So being the boring git I am I decided to give the free pizza that comes with this a miss and get on with some work… Not for long.

So Stephanie’s basic Idea was as follows:

}Midlands has a network of “digital professionals” rather like London

}This allows the community to:

–Solve problems quickly using local resources

–Share knowledge of the web

–Interact with each other socially and professionally

–Investigate opportunities

–Establish the midlands web community as a viable regional competitor to London

}This allows bit10 to:

–Tap into the network to take advantage of sales opportunities

–Create PR

–Grow brand through clicks through to the bit10 site

–Take advantage of the community’s knowledge and expertise

–Possibly use it for future hires

So yes its basically an all round techy community website for people living in and around the midlands hopefully in turn putting bit10 on the map and act as part of our world domination *ahhem* I mean marketing campaign.

I now love pea green!

Time Taken : 1hr 28minutes! I don’t know how I did it!

Design made using : Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator.

Author’s : Leanne Borrowman (Design) Fiona Powell (Logo)

For those who have visited my site before this blog should come as a shock,

For those who have not you may be wondering what the hell is ZenDez and why is it where your bit10 blog should be?… Long story so in breif I used to run a freelance design business called ‘Zenith Design’ as part of the company re-make I decided to give it a more catchy name and shortened it to ZenDez and now the name has stuck.

Also with the arrival of the bit10 blog and my blog going to waiste I thought what the hell.
So welcome clickers of http://www.ZenDez.com and clickers of http://blogs.bit10.net !

So why a blog?
We are used to seeing flash layouts and forums talking about your design work…

Well this way I have found It easily keep on top of my new portfolio, updates and show people that I don’t just sit on my arse all day down here in Leicester… Hello mum!

This will be my first and last personal post as I have decided to keep this blog to just show the work I do and the projects I undertake with my website & graphic design, I hope you can all find the time to comment on my work as this will help me greatly ^^

now to buy back my domain name!

Zenith aka Leanne Borrowman
